Fighting Acne Breakouts – How I Overcome My Acne Problems

Hi, it’s me Jeremy, This site is about fighting acne breakouts – no matter if they break out right before a big date or if you have been suffering from acne problems all your life.

I myself have been having acne problems for 4 years, causing me to have low self confidence, failing to get girls to go out with me and getting teased about my constant acne breakouts. Heck, I’ve even been made fun of some classmates while attempting to ask a girl out!

Acne ruined my life. Period.

But if you are looking for the best acne treatments around, you’re at the correct place. If you look at my photo today, you will never have guessed that I have had acne problems at all. Click here to check out the program I personally used to fight acne breakouts.

No, I did not use any “miracle acne treatment”, I only discovered the knowledge to fight acne breakouts through proper nutrition and skin care. In fact, I’m tired of how acne treatment creams bank on consumer desperation and even uses hazardous ingredient in their products.

The other day I was browsing through an acne treatment forum. What I discovered really pissed me off. According to some acne problems sufferers, most acne treatment creams can severely harm our skin.

Benzoyl Peroxide based acne treatment creams.

Benzoyl Peroxide based acne treatment creams.

Turns out the culprit ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, a somewhat effective acne solution and cancer causing substance! Well, ever since I have successfully fight acne, I no longer use any form of acne treatment. However, for curiousity sake, I reached for my old bottle of Proactive and Oxy and there it is on the ingredients label- benzoyl peroxide.

According to the FDA: “…..studies show that benzoyl peroxide is a skin tumor promoter in more than one strain of mice as well as in hamsters..”

For your information, peroxide is an ingredient common in hair bleach and toilet cleaner solution. If it can discolor your hair, imagine what it’ll do to your skin. Benzoyl peroxide does kill acne causing bacteria – but it will also age your skin.

See, benzoyl peroxide releases free radical on your skin. We often use antioxidant to keep free radicals from aging our skin. Benzoyl peroxide is doing the exact opposite. So dump that benzoyl peroxide acne treatment creams now.

I don’t know about you but I’ll never want to take any chances with my face. Not even if it the cream really works in fighting acne breakouts. While the FDA approved concentration is 5%, some acne treatment products can carry benzoyl peroxide content as high as 10%.

You’ll be better off using salicyclic acid or tea tree oil to kill acne bacteria.

But if you’re sick of trying acne treatment creams and similar quick fixes and want a proven acne solution that works,

Fighting Acne Breakouts Diet – Food To Eat, Food To Avoid

If you are ready to launch your long term strategy in fighting acne breakouts, then check out the video below on acne diet.

Click here to skip ahead to full downloadable acne guide.

The two basic principle in fighting acne through diet is to stay away from:

Sugar
Refined carbohydrates will break down into sugar in your body to create spikes in your blood sugar level. In order to regulate this blood sugar level, your body need to work overtime to produce insulin hormone and other hormones.

As you know, hormones will lead to acne breakouts, because it pushes the body to excrete a lot of excess sebum oil. This oil, whencombined with dead skin cells trapped in your pores becomes the dream home of acne bacteria.

Milk
We have been brought up to think that milk is nutritious, but do you know that milk contains 59 different raging hormones, steroid hormones, saturated animal fat and loads of cow pus?

Shocked? Well, get this – every litre of milk you drink contains 750 million pus cells, and it’s the requirement allowed by the FDA!

To cut a long story short, the hormones again will drive your sebum production up the roof. If you’re serious about fighting acne breakouts, targeting your diet is the way to go.

How To Fight Acne Scars Without Expensive Chemical Peels or Microdermabrasion

As you know, I have been using Proactive off and on to fight acne. It does helps, but my skin became dry where the cream is applied, while the rest of my face is oily as ever.

There are 2 things that has worked well for me in this situation.

Seaweed Extract
The first is to use seaweed extract. Somehow seaweed have the properties to even out the oil distribution on my face. It’s like the oily part becomes matte and the dry part becomes moisturized.

Seaweed based products such as La Mer can regulate sebum production

The downside is the cost. Seaweed products are very expensive and is found in high end skincare. As a student, I’ve got to find a cheaper way to fight acne.

Rosehip Oil
The second way, and the cheaper way to get fight acne without drying you skin is to first apply tea tree oil on acne infected areas followed by rosehip oil over the entire face.

What I did is to mix a small dollop of aloe vera gel with 4 drops of rose hip oil on my palm.

Besides hydrating acne skin, I’ve also realised that rose hip oil works like a charm to significantly lighten acne scars.

At one time, I was saving up for microdermabrasion to get rid of my acne scars. To be frank, I was also worried that microdermabrasion is going to aggravate my skin further. Thank god I don’t have to go through that.

As for chemical peel, I have not gone to a clinic but have always seen good results with BHA creams and salicyclic acid applications. These, plus Vitamin C and rosehip oil is all you need to be fighting acne scars.

Make The Best Acne Treatment Toner In Under 3 Minutes

If you are have severe acne scars like I used to have, then you’ll love this acne treatment toner. I’m still using it every night even when I no longer have acne problems.

Basically, you’ll only have to mix a pinch of ascorbic acid powder (Vit. C) to a dollop of aloe vera gel. The aloe vera gel will then melt (you can do this on your palm) and you can apply it to cleansed face as a toner. This is a powerful tips in fighting acne breakouts as well as severe acne scars.

Why Vitamin C? Besides having anti acne properties, Vit. C can significantly brighten your skin and give you a youthful glow. You can buy easily Vit. C powder for cosmetic purposes on ebay.com.

Here’s a few things to bear in mind when using this acne treatment toner:

1. You should use this only at night
2. It may sting at first, but your skin will gradually tolerate the acidity
3. You can use it around the eyes area
4. Because Vit. C could affect the efficiency of other ingredients, wait 10 minutes before applying moisturizer
5. Only mix the toner when you want to use it. Vit. C solution get oxidized by air and cannot be stored

I have found this acne treatment toner to be effective in fighting acne breakouts, in both old and new acne. However, this is only the beginning to clear acne free skin.

Fighting Acne Breakouts – Should I Pop That Pimple?

What if I tell you that you should pop your acne? Before I discovered the Acne No More ebook, I used to visit this beautician for acne treatments, facial and well, pimple popping.

She was very good with her pimple popping technique that although my face was red and slightly bleeding afterwards, they heal very well to become smooth again. Sadly, my beautician is costly, so I can’t visit her as often as I wish. Fighting acne breakouts used to be so costly.

At times, I’m really tempted to pop those pimples by myself. However, I know that most experts advice against picking your acne skin because you may end up injuring the skin. But running my hands along my face, I feel “lump” that won’t go away even after the acne dried up.

How I wish I can remove those “heads” so my skin can be smooth again.

Use a tweezer to remove dried pimple "heads"

Use a tweezer to remove dried pimple "heads"

Then, it hit me one day when I was using a nose pore strip to remove blocked pores. I remember thinking that if I can “fish” the lumps out using sticky patch, I can fish it out using a tweezer. Use a low tech “flat tipped” tweezer for this purpose.

You must always make sure that your tweezer is clean or you will need more help fighting acne breakouts afterwards. Also, make sure that your acne is “dried”.

Because I’m using a tweezer, I won’t end up injuring my skin – so no acne scars. The best part about fighting acne breakouts with a tweezer is that it’s not painful at all, unlike when my beautician is squeezing out those lumps.

I may have not found victory in fighting acne breakouts back then, but this “acne treatment” is my personal favorite. Don’t forget to dab some tea tree oil on the “sites” once the lumps have been removed to fight acne causing bacteria.

Why Drinking Milk Is Bad For Fighting Acne Breakouts

Hi there,

I just want to talk a bit more about abstaining from drinking milk to ease your acne breakout condition. As you know, this is the one tip I learnt from this guy, Mike Walden that helped me fight off new acne from breaking out.

Here’s why milk is bad for your acne. Milk is good for babies since it contains a lot of growth hormone, but as adults those hormones are actually bad for us, especially when you’re fighting acne breakouts.

If you don’t already know, acne is not caused by dirt, but rather by hormones. So when you drink milk, you add to your own raging hormone and that’s the reason why you get all this hormonal acne breakouts.

On the contrary, if you want to ease your hormonal acne breakouts from within, then you can start to drink a glass of warm water sprinkled with lemon juice first thing in the morning and night.
