How To Fight Acne Scars Without Expensive Chemical Peels or Microdermabrasion

As you know, I have been using Proactive off and on to fight acne. It does helps, but my skin became dry where the cream is applied, while the rest of my face is oily as ever.

There are 2 things that has worked well for me in this situation.

Seaweed Extract
The first is to use seaweed extract. Somehow seaweed have the properties to even out the oil distribution on my face. It’s like the oily part becomes matte and the dry part becomes moisturized.

The downside is the cost. Seaweed products are very expensive and is found in high end skincare. As a student, I’ve got to find a cheaper way to fight acne.

Rosehip Oil
The second way, and the cheaper way to get fight acne without drying you skin is to first apply tea tree oil on acne infected areas followed by rosehip oil over the entire face.

What I did is to mix a small dollop of aloe vera gel with 4 drops of rose hip oil on my palm.

Besides hydrating acne skin, I’ve also realised that rose hip oil works like a charm to significantly lighten acne scars.

At one time, I was saving up for microdermabrasion to get rid of my acne scars. To be frank, I was also worried that microdermabrasion is going to aggravate my skin further. Thank god I don’t have to go through that.

As for chemical peel, I have not gone to a clinic but have always seen good results with BHA creams and salicyclic acid applications. These, plus Vitamin C and rosehip oil is all you need to be fighting acne scars.
